Here is a list of charities that Listia has supported and the amount we have donated to each one. We are currently revamping our charity auction system to make sure the credits donated to each charity can be used more efficiently. If you work at or run a charity and would be willing to manage your charity's credits, please contact us.
Charities have always been a big part of what Listia is all about, but we were not raising as much money as we had hoped through purchased credits and because of our fast growth, do not have the resources anymore to manage each individual charity's credits. As a result, our charity system is undergoing a large overhaul to make sure that each charity can benefit as much as possible from our users' generosity.
Most importantly, we are looking for people who work at or run local charities to manage their own charitable accounts. Only they really know what each charity needs and can put the credits to good use. If you are such a person, please contact us.
In the meantime, as you can see, we have converted the old credits in the charity accounts directly into cash and donated them to the charities listed above. This has resulted in a huge amount of money donated and much more than we could have donated by using the credits to bid on items on Listia. We are so thankful to all our generous users and hope to have a much better charity system in place soon.
