What is the difference between Saved Meetup Information and Saved Shipping Addresses?

Saved Meetup Information like addresses and phone numbers are used only for local pick up exchanges. If you offer local pick up on your auctions you can send your saved information to the winner when the auction is finished. Saved Shipping Addresses are strictly used to provide a seller with your shipping address when you win an auction.

I edited my meetup information in my account, but the buyer doesn't see my updates, why?

Editing your saved meetup address or phone number on the account page does not change previous auctions where they were used. If you would like to use your updated information you must go to the auction and there you will see the old information selected. From there you will need to change your selection from the old to your updated information.

How can I add a meetup address or phone number?

You can do this under your Account Settings here.

Is saving meetup information required?

No. Saving your meetup information is purely to make things easier for local transactions.

Is my meetup phone number the same as my phone verification phone number?

No. At the moment the two are not connected to each other in any way.

When I enter my meetup address I see a "Location Not Found" image, why?

When you see this it means that we were unable to find the address you entered. If you see this, try to be more specific with what you type by entering the actual street number, street, city, state, and zip.

Why can't I switch from shipping to local pick up?

When you win an auction where the seller offers both local pick up and shipping you are allowed to switch from local pick up to shipping as long as the seller has not claimed they exchanged the item with you. If you choose to have your item shipped and you send your shipping address to the seller, you will not be able to switch back to local pick up. The reason for this is because there is no way to know if the seller is in the process of sending you your item. Because of this as soon as you send your shipping information we can no longer allow you to switch to local pick up.
