The Lafayatte Presentation Antique Button.Presented to General Lafayette.: Presented to General Lafayette. By L. H & Scovill Button Manufacturers/ Waterbury Con. Scovill made the original set of these Presentation buttons in gold and gave them to General Lafayette on his much celebrated visit to the US in 1824-25. This example may be from the restike made in 1876. Measures 13/16" (20MM) I found this in an old canning jar with other vintage buttons.It is inscribed on this button this writting-Presented to General Lafayette. By L. H & Scovill Button Manufacturers/ Waterbury Con. Scovill .Very nice for the collector.

I had 2 of these I sold one.What a great collectable.And a part of history.I found these in an old canning jar someone who saved vintage buttons.What a great find.But hoping it can go to a good home who can appreciate our history.Happy bidding.
