This beautiful bottle is 5" tall & 2" in diameter. Made in Italy & is genuine lead crystal with gold leaf trim & gold ridged accented, Art Deco design. She is a rare find & true to form she is heavy. She is definitely an oldy but she is MINT. FLAWLESS & there is a sticker(see photo) that reads "SC GENUINE LEAD CRYSTAL OVER 24% PbO MADE IN ITALY".

That's sweet; your mom & mine would've been bff's. :) I'd LOVE to bid on it; hwr, my vanity is full already & DH's kinda drawn the line at my adding more to my vanity, the fireplace mantle, pillows on the hearth (I lay on them w/a fire going & glass of wine in winter months), & the foyer area, he's gonna go nuts. It'll be easier when we can add the other few bookcases to the office/library & bring my glass floor-to-ceiling curio from storage & then it'll take 5 shelves 2 remove to get my Galileo thermometer to fit & it's too many shelves for the other antiques I have that need an enclosed area. :( I want my 200gal salt aquarium back inside too but I need to find a new area for this huge antique roll-top desk 1st. It's 9-10th generation from DH's family & on the wall I want my aquarium so a battle of wills is coming b4 long. LOL!

The perfume decanter I have is very old (Waterford Crystal) & belonged to my grams b4 me. Esp if your using high-end perfume, a tiny dab from the tip of the Crystal dip top will do b/c more than that is simply too much & over-powering. (Just an FYI) This is beautiful & if I didn't already have Grams' antique bottle, I'd want this for myself but hers is more than an antique or Waterford Crystal, it's sentimental. Best of luck w/your auction. I commend you for letting this go. :)

The winner will definitely have a beautiful piece that will last for generations if they take care of this piece. They simply don't make things like this anymore & it's a shame. It's more than a perfume decanter - this is a work of art, a thing of beauty, & one of the most personable pieces of history when it comes to women's belongings... It's a rare treasure.

I rinsed out the perfume & those are the little bubbles you see... there are NO BUBBLES in the crystal.
