so if you bought credits from Lisita at 16,000 credits for 40.00 that comes out to .0025 each. that times 400,000 credits that you want for 100.00 card comes to $1000.00. perhaps the amount should be 100K not 400K.

at your calculations we would be spending 600,000 credits for a 200.00 card.

we all work hard for our credits and it costs us money in postage nothing here is completely free.

it will be interesting to see where this goes

Your math is correct based off of 16000 credits for $40 which is a rippoff! You can sell $10 worth of product if not less for 16000 credits. Also the sponsored offerings need to be taken in account.

Seriously, you need to re-adjust your calculations. Especially If you actually want to sell big dollar cards.

I hope you find someone that wants to bid over 150k on your card, but that's as high as I think it's going. The big sellers on here don't have time for people trying to take advantage of us.

you did not prove him wrong, go to the URL you posted and look at the updates. He got a $400 dollar gift card, it was a tiered auction. Just like every one is saying he paid 400,000 credits for a $400 gift card. If any body is trying to scam, it seems like it is you. You would have to be crazy to spend 400,000 credits on a $100 gift card.

I am sick and tired of this if you don't agree with my auction don't bid or leave rude comments we are all adults so act like one. I pleaded my case I proved him wrong and he lied and contradicted himself. I have explained in detail on how this auction works. So stop being rude and raining on others parade.

I just asked Kellvis, if you take the time to read the auction he won he got a $400 dollar gift card. It was tiered. All you have to do is read the updates. So far you've talked a lot of research and stats and backed it up with NO VERIFIABLE DATA.

did you just not sell a $25 gift card for about 25,000, yes you did like 2 weeks ago, so the price on them went up that much in 2 weeks, for 600,000 credits you should get a $600 gift card, not 600,000 credits for a $200 gift card, I think your the 1 trying to scam people!!!!!!!!!

Tiered auctions always end up confusing people. 1000 Credits are worth about a dollar in the current market. Your numbers for merchants seem to be off. Not sure what you are basing your calculations off of.

your not selling gold or silver. your selling a Walmart gift card. and in the real world its only worth the amount the card is worth and thats definitely not in gold n silver but CASH!

Yeah duh but on the listia market real money like gold/ silver goes for 2500 to 3000 credits if you convert to dollars and this also fluctuates with the real world, it has to in order for anything to work or at least if you want listia to become bigger with people selling better more valuable thing's.

I estimate this auction to hit around 110,000 or 120,000.

I think that you overlooked one thing on Kelvis's bidded auction.
The gift card was at 300K on September 10th.
The auction didn't end until the 12th. The card exceeded 300K by quite a bit.
It was closer, if not 400K.
Listia's reward stores sell gift cards @ $25.00 = 25,000 credits.
Less than a year ago, you could get a $50.00 gift card for about half the price,
face value. It wasn't until Listia started having auctions that the $1.00 = 1000 credit
margin came into being.
I, for one, wish they had stayed out of the game. Listia was way more fun then.
Good luck on your auction.

1. According to listia the number one rule for buyers is
Carefully read listing information and descriptions before bidding.

2. @mgmckibbin - what is there to be confused about ? - it is very clear in the description.
the bidding needs to reach 550,000 to get the $200 card

If the going credit rate is $1.00 for every 1000 credits how do u reason your $175 gift card is worth 400,000 credits? 400,000 credits should be $400. At the most your gift card of $175 should not be worth more the 175,000-190,000 credits. Anything more then that would taking advantage (which is a kinder word for robbery). Also how is offering movies illegal? I offer my movie's to share with other Listians and Listia does too. So are they doing it illegally too? If this was a fair auction you wouldn't be getting all the feedback you've been getting from other's n I'm glad other seasoned members are bringing attention to your auction. There just protecting there fellow members from seller's like you n I'm shocked that Listia hasn't stepped in to do the same. Sellers like you ruin this site and seller's like KELLVIS help make it better. I just hope potential bidders read all of these comments before the bid. I mean really the price of gold/silver?! Give me a break!

1 oz of .999 silver goes for 49000 credits on listia as GIN or over . In the real world it's worth $22 an OZ . You see just like in the real world when the top players or let's say bankers rig the markets for themselves things start to not work! Thats all I have to say aholes! There are no rules in free market capitalism and this is ridiculous 1000 for $1.00 listia won't last very long if it was based of your model because it would never expand people would join sell cheap crap leave and that's it. So in order for new people to join and expand the community just let things happen. If I'm overpriced then nobody buys . No harm done. if people do buy then the top sellers will have to pay more for it, its the game of life. That is why I have soo many people giving negative feedback they are scared I will change the game. If I can I will and this will help bigger ticket items end up on listia in the long run making even more exciting or keep it rigged I leave and the same fat cats keep selling over and over to new people who come and go.

Sorry, I am still confused by what you mean.
Maybe for all of us potential buyers you can list is chart break down off exactly what we will get.

For example:
up to 400,000 will be a $175 gift card
at 450,000 will be a $200 gift card
at 600,000 will be a $225.
etc.

Thanks :-)
Sep 22nd, 2013 at 9:43:26 AM PDT by

OK no problem.
0-400k =$100
400k-450k =$175
450k-500k =$200
500k-550k = $250

And I am not going past that so it tops at $$250 now I dropped the price in that one comment. I tried to edit the auction but the option disappeared?
Does this clarify everything?

You mentioned bigger ticketed items. Listia, at one point, listed a brand new car, a cruise, etc. for millions of credits. I don't know what happened to those auctions. So, just to let you know, they did list high end stuff. I think they realized
this is not feeBay. There are a lot of small town folk here who are just listing
items to trade. I like it that way. Listia was designed to be a bartering site.
Sometimes, though, it gets a little out of hand ;)
Sep 22nd, 2013 at 1:39:06 PM PDT by
Original
Yeah I know what you mean. I have seen stuff bought off of eBay for real cheap or alebaba and re sold on here as of now what i mainly buy is relatively cheaper on eBay I want to change that. But I would like to see some more quality items on here. I like this bartering platform its great for people and I see more potential.
