Here is a link for the most popular free standard pc memory test software. If I were testing I would test the Crucial as a pair, the Corsair as a pair, then all 4 together. A complete pass or two for each.

Your Crucial ram is unbuffered non ECC and will work in desktops.
Your Corsair ram is Registered ECC server ram and most certainly will not work in most desktops as pointed out correctly earlier.

Memnon and shortstuff are 100% correct. Unless the motherboard will accept both ecc AND non ecc. then no problem. Apparently YOUR board did, however, not ALL boards will, depends on BIOS and other possible factors. Good luck.

The corsair may work in some desktops, as long as the desktop will accept ECC ram. Normally Ecc ram is for server based computers. ie: Dell Precision desktops, desktop server! If thats what you tested it in thats why your computer was able to use them, most desktops will not.
