WARNING! I bought this case not realizing it was for the older version of the Kindle Fire HD 7". I had just bought a new one several months ago and this case didn't fit so I had to get a new one. Only bid on this if you have the previous generation of the Kindle Fire HD 7".

IF YOU HAVE THE 2013 VERSION, DO NOT BID. IT WILL NOT FIT. ONLY BID IF IT'S FROM BEFORE 2013.

Anyway, the case is in perfect condition since I wasn't able to use it. Please let me know if you have any questions.

There's a slight different in size. I can't remember if my Kindle was too big or too small, but it was a significant enough difference to render it unusable for my Kindle.

It's hard to say because the 7" refers to the screen size as opposed to the whole thing. I would just go by the year -- if yours isn't from 2013, you should be okay. : )

it is 6 1/2 high by 4 3/4 wide

Probably won't fit.. the plastic holder is roughly..

5 1/2" wide
Just over 7 1/2" high

That might be too big.. plus, this one's made for the Kindle specifically, so bidding might be too risky.
