the best and easiest way to tell if it is an official sony ps3 controller is by the power button in the center of the controller... if it bares the playstation 3 emblem then its legit.. this controller is official, hope that helps the seller for all the doubters on here

@patsycole1: I was only asking because I have a counterfeit controller and it says Sony on the controller and the packaging, and looks like an authentic controller, but it's not. I can feel the weight of it is a little lighter than my real Sony controller. And the fake one feels like cheap plastic. All the buttons are the same and everything though.

i just priced these the other day and danielle77 is rite they are 39.95 for the official ones like she has the fake ones do not say sony or ps3 it says its for the sony ps3 i just checked them everywhere they run about the same but if you figure it up like listia does its like 1500 credits is like 1.00 cause if you win a gift card its gone be about a 1500 credits per dollar and anyways you do not have to bid nor keep asking her to lower her price you dont want ppl doing it to yours so why are you doing it to someone else simple as that cause their are others that dont mind paying it
