neftari1, you commented you're not evading any questions so can you then answer the two questions i asked, and since you've been logging in daily to Listia.

as JessicaHoehn23 and Lovekitty commented, it's very odd for a person to cut the tags, especially since they can used for authenticity. and the third pic does show the purse bottom to be very worn and dirty.

and FYI-This is how to tell if a DOONEY is AUTHENTIC:

Glance at the leather logo tag, visible on the front of the purse. If the stitching is not the same color as the thread that's used on the seams, it's a phony.

Examine the handbag. British TAN trim adorns ALL Dooney and Bourke handbags. If the one you're examining is any other color, you're not looking at the real thing. The purse handles also are always British tan leather.

Study the metal details. Any hardware on a Dooney and Bourke will be BRASS, whether it's the protective feet, studs or the strap knobs. If you see silver, you know it's not a real Dooney.

Peer inside the bag for more tip-offs of fraud. You'll know it's a fake if you don't see a leather duck logo with visible stitching and a red, white and blue REGISTRATION NUMBER sewn beneath a leather seam.

I have been a member of Listia for awhile. I have a very honest, upfront attitude when I list an item. I don't AVOID direct questions, I don't get mad when someone asks for clarification on an item I have listed. As a matter of fact, I welcome all the questions a person wants to ask. If anyone challenges the authenticity of an item I list, I will go out of my way to make my fellow Listians
feel more comfortable about bidding on my items. When this person stated that there are no tags on the purse, because she USED it,....well, for me,..it caused concern. And others have commented on that statement as well. This seller had another auction up for a digital camera. Several people asked what brand the camera was, and what mega pixels it had, and even about what type memory card it used. This seller kept answering each question with, "i have never used it or taken it out of the box, so I dont know." But there were 3 or 4 pics of the camera OUT OF THE BOX!!!! Excuse us if we have concerns about this seller. We have a right to protect ourselves. A few of us HAVE been scammed out of credits and money for shipping!!!! The camera listing is most likely gone because it was reported to Listia!!! If people cannot be honest and straight forward with us,...they don't need to be on Listia. Hi Jessica, my youngest Daughter is Jessica, we call her Jessie. I think people have different habits, and this is probably just one of them Neftari has.. It's like; I salt my peaches, (really I do), but my husband does not, and thinks I am a loon for doing so. We are all diverse. Anyway going to bed, hope ya'll nice ladies can work this out. BTW the most I've ever paid for a purse was around 14.00..:)..so I think I will bid on this, and I've never had a name brand purse, and I am 54. lol

I don't see any listing for a Camera. We were all new sellers at one time.. A person always starts at 0. If you think about it, why would this Gal not tell the Truth? Also she is giving this bag away. For credits, yes, however it is still a free bag. Maybe instead of attacking Neftari, we should all try and find the correct answers to the multiple questions.. Also my purses always get crumbs etc in the bottom. Just my 20 cents worth....

This is an authentic D&B. You can tell by the 3rd picture. That leather tab fits over that brass pin to hold it shut. You will never see that in a knock off.

uni. this is what is called a Dooney and Bourke AWL Solid Black Gladstone Satchel. I always cut the tags in my purses because I rarely get rid of them. The only thing missing is the gold duck bob. There is actually another one like this selling on ebay for $200. Why don't you check it out. And, hey if you still don't believe it is real fine, don't bid on it.

and what do you mean by the tags are missing because you used this purse?

if you called Dooney and Bourke or any other designer brand, they wouldn't be able to authenticate it over the phone, they have to see it in person and even then they might not be experienced enough to determine.

Its not BOORKE. It's called a Dooney and BOURKE! Everyone,.....please check out this seller's other auction for the digital camera. This seller evades all direct questions from bidders, has no history as a trusted seller, and is very suspicious to alot of Listia members!!! PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

This is not an authentic bag. The trim is plastic vs. leather and the inside is not lined properly, not to mention the inside tags are missing. This item is against Listia rules and illegal to sell.
