The listing, METAL DIPPER WITH HANDLE U.S. KREAMER 1944 Antique Vintage 1 Quart has ended.

This is a metal antique dipper.
Not sure what metal it's made of
The handle is 7" long--the dipper part is about 3 3/4" high
Supposed to hold a quart
Not sure what this was used for--some say it was used during WW2
This looks like what people would dip in the water bucket for a drink of water.
The condition is very good--it's not all dinged up and rusted out--the patina is perfect
Wonderful addition to your country collection

Hi--did he have it in a bucket or just hanging by the sink? I think that would look very cool in a vintage kitchen.

oh mary lee i love you! we had an outhouse too. and we had a telephone, but it was party line, ours was three short rings and a long. oh i remember when we got the phone, you thought the devil had moved in! during the winter the running water stopped because it froze up, so every day i hauled buckets in before the kids got up. i bet if we lived closer we would be fast pals!
