This is the Butt end of a Hunting rifle gunstock and that is about all I know about it, I bought this along with a couple other full length ones, I have no idea why I bought them! Lol! I just thought they were cool and I was actually thinking of making them into lamps, but before I do , I figured I would offer them here(I presume because there is no firing capability , it is ok to post them here !(And I see a Replica Gun posted , so unless a moderator says I cannot post them , here is the first one.Hope it is ok!! ) . I am starting at a low starting price because I really don't know what they cost new, and the shipping will be whatever it is to send it(Concealed Cash please!). Most Buttstocks seem to be made of Walnut or Black Walnut (I have no clue what this one is, but it is beautiful! And that's what caught my attention! I love the tone and color of the wood! One side is darker than the other(though it seems to be more the angle of the light which it catches a golden glow , like Mahogany when light hits it. It does have a metal piece (see right lower ,bottom of pic) which I will try to get a close-up for you and I'll try getting pics of both ends(no metal only holes.)Please check out all of my auctions, fan me and I'll fan you back!
