Sorry, no book this is just a clicker. They sell them loose at our local Petco.

My dog runs out of the yard all the time, is this kind of like a shock collar to teach them how far they can go?

This is not like a shock collar. You use this to teach basic commands sit, etc...
you say sit, when the dog sits you click and reward with a food treat or favorite toy or praise.

I have dog named Jack, He likes to run and I used to get mad but I learned to stay calm and since he loves food I just offer him a treat and he gladly comes home. But I do have to watch him. We have 4 dogs and they keep me busy. But we love them. I hope this is helpful. Joanne :)

It started at zero, but a lot of people bid. I bought it at Petco.
Lots of people moved after Hurricane Sandy. We are still fixing, have a great day :)

We have 3 dogs here and if 2 get loose outside at the same time their gone for hours!They are a handfull to say the least!Maybe I could get this to work on my dog and possibly his brother but don't think it would work on their mom.(Of course she's the instigater to begin with is why they like to run now)

Yeah sometimes our border collie Jack takes all of our dogs for a walk. The clicker is for more of the simple stuff Like sit. I have 4 dogs and 5 cats. I kind of gave up on the clicker and just wing it. For the most they are all good no ones perfect but we all get along :). P.S. most of the running off happens if I miss their long walk they love to walk and even better if they get to meet their friends :)

We live way out in the country surround by farms.The owner here lost the father and the one girl pup because they were at one of the neighbors creating trouble.We know the neighbors well,(Especially them,The owners relatives) and they know they had better not touch my Dakota Bear because He means too much to me and There would be serious retaliation if they ever shot Him.I have alot of money in Him and they have got to know Him some now so even if He went there they would just call me,the same with His brother and they know they are both fixed so they don't have to worry about their dogs getting preg from themNow their mom is a dif story,she I'm sure is the reason dakota's sister was shot because the 3 of them,(Dakota's mom,brother & sister all ran over there and started fighting with one of their dogs which I'm pretty sure the mom started.The sister was prob just the easiest to shoot because she was so friendly & mom and brother got away.Luckily my dog was home in my room with me at the time when it happened about a year ago.(Can't tell Dakota means much to me at all can you? Best & biggest dog I've ever had besides my best friend)
