well, after learning what they do to the meat for burgers at restaurant chains, I am now going to fork over the $$$ to get the attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer, so that I can grind my own beef to make burgers and such.

The Kitchenaid mixer has already paid for itself (in less than 2 years) because I make my own butter with it -- weekly... takes less than 15 minutes and it tastes delicious compared to store bought!

I like knowing that there are only 2 ingredients in butter -- heavy NON-HOMOGENIZED cream and sea salt. :)

In addition to going back to college in my "middle" age ... with a bucket goal of becoming an Attorney -- I am studying to become a Naturopathic Doctor -- mainly to treat my own family and friends. I do not trust man made medicine stronger than Aspirin... too many side effects and not many are known long term for effects.

To clarify------"Food,(comma)Inc. is a different book than "Food(no comma)Inc." I don't know which one was written first-----I have both-------The one I am reading is supposed to be "impartial"-- and is giving scientific info. on GMO seed----well I don't support GMO seed that's for sure! I am curious to see what it is THEY (Peter Pringle--author) is saying in this book----I get a little bit lost on some of the science stuff (my science interest is solar flares /coronal mass ejections of the sun) so now I let me say that I am a vegetarian and buy as much organic food as I can $$$ afford. Go Organic! Go Green! We have lots of support here in California!

I'm with you guys too! We need to get more self sufficient and grow as much of our own food supply and herbal medicine as we can. Watch for and support the new movie coming out-- Farmageddon...The Unseen War on American Farms. Get info at http://farmageddonmovie.com

This is why I grow my own herbal medicine, have a garden, and try very hard to pay attention to these things. It's very scarey! Nice to know others are on the band wagon too.

Have you heard of, that Europe ban hundreds of herbal remedies. Were all so vitamin deficient because our of the food we eat, that some times taking herbal remedies and vitamins is needed, and for them to ban them is our right criminal!

Did you know that Monsanto contracted Black water to work for them? Thats Scary why would they do that if theirs nothing wrong with there business. One day, I think our government will try to stop us from buying and selling organics, sarcasm:"Of course it would be for our own safety too".

I am pretty sure that all of us, Attain this knowledge, so it would be best, when your at the store, and you see some one buying Organic products to talk to them, and enlighten them about the harm and dangers of those other products. Thats what I have done because every one needs to know, and research it.

If you are liking the book... you should watch the video. I haven't read the book because the video was enough to make me sick. Working on all the same changes in our family. =)

I am on the same page with all of you!----I can reccomend a good book for you about GMO seed---it's called "Food, Inc." by Peter Pringle ---NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the book "Food Inc."(first title has a comma---I know ---I was confused by the similar titles at first too)! I am half way through the book---and it is supposed to be written in an impartial way----well, once I started reading it and I learned WHY, HOW and WHAT they are doing to seed ---well----hey! I became a LOT better informed on (BAD)GMO seeds!----(which I already knew about btw)since I am already a veg and love Heirlooms and eat organic as much as I can afford to.---It's good to know your enemy---they always say! just putting this out there.

I wish there were more of us!

I also wish we would get rid of Homogenized milk -- except the gov't makes BIG money in it!

When either of you want to know why we should not drink / consume homogenized products let me know -- I will send you a link for the article I wrote about it.

Always against Monsanto -- I write for the local College Newspaper -- The Agora -- and constantly do articles about organic gardening and what to look for in GMO products.
