This is a stunning C link chain, also know as C chain, made of sterling silver and manufactured by the Speidel company.
It is marked Speidel USA on one side of the bail and STERLING on the other.
Given the unique locking mechanism of the chain, I would estimate it to have been sold around 1945-1950.

Hanging from the chain is a heart featuring 22 clear stones. This is a pre-CZ period piece, so I would guess they are glass with foil back. But would it not be wonderful to receive this necklace and find they are actually diamonds?1?! The beautiful heart charm is not marked that I can see, but it appears to be unique to the chain and most likely sold together.

The chain measure 17 inches, and the charm is about 3/4 inches.

The chain and charm can use a very good cleaning and I will leave that up to the winner.
