These have been growing outside in crazy central Texas weather for about a year or more now.
I have 2 different species and the winner will receive 10 leaflets of each, so 20 total, in a plain envelope with a little dirt. They are the babies that grow on the tips of several species of Kalanchoe. Just toss them into a pot with soil, sprinkle a little soil on top (no need to cover them too much) and spray soil with water until moist.
They enjoy full to partial sunlight. Well draining soil. I water mine once a week. They grow equally well inside or out and are pretty drought resistant. I would say optimal growing temp should be between 75 and 85 degrees F. Some species grow flowers, though none of mine has as of yet. Still hoping though. Beautiful, full leaves. Great self propagator.

I have read articles that claim all species of Kalanchoe are toxic when ingested by pets and children alike.
