The listing, Nesting Cardinal (June 2011) *Limited Edition,First Run Printing of only 100 Prints/with COA!* has ended.

You are bidding on 1(one) 8" x 10" Original KODAK Print of a Female Cardinal Nesting,& patiently awaiting the day when her babies hatch. Yes, 2 of the 3 eggs did hatch, and they did, about 2 weeks ago, fly off to learn the ins & outs of living by the laws of Mother Earth, and learning also to ride the wind! We actually got to see one of the 2 baby birds as it had flown from the nest, into the old Wysteria Vine that lives beside 'Porch World', not more than 10 feet from where Momma Cardinal made their nest inside of a hanging basket that held a Fern! LOL. Always interesting things going on around 'Porch World'! And, I do hope to share some of those happenings with you in the future. I saw this morning that our Hummingbird had returned. A bit miffed to find the feeder empty. But, Momma and Daddy Cardinal had pretty much run everything away from their nest and babies! It was a blessed day indeed! This shot was taken one night right after Momma Cardinal had finally let us get out close to her without her flying away. And then, when my housemate put out some fresh water and more feed in the bird feeders, Momma Cardinal finally realized that we were only there to help along the way, in ANY way possible! She trusted, but still kept one eye always on her nest and babies. Ready to attack at any moment. I caught her late one night, and did apologize to her for the disturbance so late into the night. I talked with her for a bit, and she seemed to understand. It was refreshing, and engulfing at the same time. I was 'in the moment' and very pleased to get several shots of Momma Cardinal that night. We even have 1 on the day of 'first flight' as Daddy Cardinal sits proudly on the fence, watching carefully to be sure that NOTHING got too close! It was beautiful!NOTE:COPYRIGHT INFORMATION DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE PRINT YOU ARE BIDDING ON!
