Description

The listing, PIGEON Peas seeds #20 has ended.

It's a staple food crop that provides good protein. You can use the green peas like fresh peas, and the dried peas like any other dried peas, beans or lentils . Excellent in rice and peas. Plant will live about five years. Mine produced three times this with bountiful crops.
Leaves, flowers, seed pods and seed all make nutitious animal fodder. My chickens love the peas.
The flowers attract bee

Mine are organic. I live in Florida, zone 9. They thrive well in Florida. MY google search said they can thrive up to zone 12. They do not like frost. I brought my original seeds from Jamaica over 20 years ago and am still using seeds from their decendants. So I think they are non gmo
