Acer AC700-1099 Chromebook Review
Written by martinblog on Jul-17-11 7:33am
Acer just rolled out a new computing device namely Acer AC700-1099 Chromebook, which is an ideal device for users who live and breathe online, craving the speed to go from one site to the next in an instant. This Acer AC700-1099 Chromebook is small on size but big on performance. It is powered by Intel dual-core processor, 2GB DDR3 Memory, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, and 16GB Solid State Drive.
The other specs include 1.3 Megapixel HD Webcam (1280 x 1024), High-Definition Audio Support, Two Built-in Speakers, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 1- HDMI Port, 2- USB 2.0 Ports, Full-sized Chrome Keyboard with dedicated keys for the web, Oversized, and Multi-touch Touchpad.

Acer AC700-1099 Chromebook runs on Chrome operating systgem only. You can't load Windows or Mac based programs. For a lot of people this means they still need their Mac or PC. I use my Acer Chromebook for surfing the web, chatting, Facebook, etc. AFAIK, the Acer Chromebook is virtually worry free as far as getting viruses. That is a major plus. I would recommend this for anyone who just needs something for accessing the Internet.

I'm new here, live in San Jose, and just wondering how/why to offer free shipping on items I have no idea how much they will sell for if I can't put a minimum bid. Aren't you afraid you might have to pay to ship something for which you receive only $40 for? Thanks

Maybe you should try being nicer to people and you wont have those types of problems. Just my guess thats all. Karma. @Imaier, how would this burn cd's? Theres no optical drive. And @ Sprigan, your right, 16GB is a tad bit on the weak side now a days, but keep in mind its a Solid State drive not a regular drive, and also that you have two USB ports, which you could do like I do and attached a PORTABLE Western Digital 160GB Hard drive. Then you can have as much storage as you want. Make sure its portable though, so that way its powered by the usb port of your laptop/netbook etc, and doesnt need to be plugged in seperately. Ive heard nothing but good things about these Chromebooks. Google gave out one of these to everyone who showed up at thier dev conference last month. Hope i win, but if Shelby is in on this i dont think i stand a good chance, lol. Damn you shelby, damn you! lol.

@ Natahoa that is awful I hope they catch whoever it is and kick them off the site. That is sad that someone would do that. Like I have said before this is a great hobby for lots of us and we are here to have fun. If they want to sell to go to another site and be happy for you and others who make good credits on the expensive items you give away for free out of the kindness of your heart. Good luck finding them and hope things improve much. Lots of the good people who list on here that have been around for ever are leaving, do to what is going on with people cheating and acting Immature. I hope and pray it quits and goes back to being the fun loving site I found a few years ago. We need to get rid of the few bad apples that are ruining everything for everyone else. GOOD LUCK.

Apparently someone is targeting me and a few other Listia members, and a moderator is involved. 21 of my auctions, most of them ending this weekend, were shut down by Listia tonight. I am trying to get to the bottom of it. In the meantime, please let me know if anyone on Listia approaches you, or already has, about flagging my auctions or winning them and then requesting refunds

Message I sent to Natahoa: "I think I know why your listings are being taken down. I listed a bracelet as "Pandora style" with "Pandora style beads." I was warned by a kind Listian that listings with "Pandora style" in the title or description were being taken down. Sure enough, once the bidding got going, they took it down. You have listed "Bali style" beads. Bali is a brand name. I've relisted as "European beads" but it's not as successful. I did however get in a bit of verbal acting-out in relisting. My listing called "European Beads on silver-colored bracelet" is at http://www.listia.com/auction/2265960-european-beads-on-silver-colored." I think those of us who list jewelry should get together & figure out a way to get people to know about European Beads.
