If graded with its condition, Maybe and i mean maybe by the luck of a rabbits foot, by being graded you might get $600 to the right buyer on a good day, and yes it is real

1916-D Mercury Dime: How To Authenticate And Identify What to look for in a fake since there were a lot of them faked.....
1916-D Mercury Dimes are rare so they've become the most faked key date in US Coin history. Often the 1916-S mint mark is altered so it looks like a "D" or the mint mark is engraved or added onto the reverse. It's important to note that many of the altered examples will have wear or damaged to hide the defects of the mint mark.
An important fact you should know is that the D mint mark punch used on the 1916-D Mercury Dime is also the same mint mark used on the 1914-D Lincoln Cent. This fact alone can help you to properly identify an authentic 1916-D Mercury Dime. View the images below for further reference. It's so badly worn hard to say if it's a D or not. But exciting to look at!!!!
great information. now just to clear up a few things with this coin, under my microscope and i spelled microscope not jewelers loop, the very worn (D) is a lot easier to identify,.. if there is any coin-fusion to whom wins my auction about the mint mark (D) and is not satisfied with it send it back for a refund, but beware it is able to be authenticated as the coin has documented ware marks and identification points on the coin using the latest software available to the public. It works by placing the coin in a fitted flat holder, and scanning it to your computer and running the software that picks the points of identification and levels of ware. ect .... enjoy
Zack won a bonus coin for winning a auction on listia, 1943 copper all most s also magnet told the truth, but cool old counterfeit coin too drop in that empty slot in the back of that dansco....
a lot of things should not be like the 1955 / 55 Lincoln double die or the 1943 copper Lincoln cent which are among the most rarest and costly coin i feel money can buy. I think only 5 are to known exist at present. i have one that i found on a job in Los Angels doing a remodel when i pulled the carpet there was about $5 in wheat backs i collected them all off the floor and as i was going threw them i found a 1943 copper Lincoln cent!!!!!!!about quit my job as i almost sht my self until i put a magnate on it and it stuck to it......the best and worst 60 seconds of news i had in my life:) lmao but its cool to have anyway you look at it.
