The listing, ✻Vietnamese Crab Claw Herb✻Peperomia pellucida has ended.

Some other names; Clearweed, Man-to-man, Rat-ear, Shiny bush, Pepper Elder, Salad Peperomia.

Lovely leaf foliage - tropical annual herb growing up to 1'. Leaves are heart shaped, shiny green. Edible both cooked & raw. A great addition to salads!

Known to be very good to combat fatigue, this beautiful herb possesses antiseptic, anti-inflammatory & antiseptic properties. It's used as an herbal treatment for hemorrhages, gout, renal disorders & rheumatic joint pain. Roots used to treat fevers & juice from the plant is also believed to help lower cholesterol. Its used to treat skin disorders such as acne & boils.

Seeds are tiny. I know very little about germination & the web has few answers. I can't offer much advice. Do your homework. Any info from shoppers would be appreciated. When I started my peperomia, I had a few old seeds. I just sowed them on the soil & prayed for the best. I was delighted when I saw there was hope! Since then, they self-sow freely.

From my experience, too much heat & direct sun is harsh on them. I grow them understory so they are shaded & kept moist. Hardy in USDA zones 9B-11. (but I'm in z9a) Shade & loose moist soil, plant in frostfree spots. Likes humidity. Grown as a houseplant in colder regions. More on edibility; http://www.eattheweeds.com/peperomia/

BEWARE ROSE SEEDS! There's GOOD reasons why rose seeds AREN'T sold in big garden centers. Info here; http://goo.gl/0UJZry
Beware home collected seeds from hybrid plants. They're no longer the same variety. Ask questions. Research >reliable< sources.
Beware! "GREEN" bell peppers are UNRIPE bell peppers & aren't likely to provide VIABLE seeds. Very few varieties ripen to green. Same for GREEN Jalapeno & most other pepper varieties. It only take minutes to check the variety & discover the color of the RIPE pepper.
Beware "Bonsai" seeds are misleading! http://www.bonsai4me.com/Basics/Basics_Seeds.html
