Description

The listing, 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar has ended.

1921 Morgan Silver Dollar, this would be amazing for passionate collector to own, it's in a pretty good condition for a coin this old & I'm sure you don't see as many on here. You're welcome Listians! :)

History of the coin:
The Morgan dollar was a United States dollar coin minted from 1878 to 1904, and then again in 1921. It was the first standard silver dollar minted since production of the previous design, the Seated Liberty dollar, ceased due to the passage of the Coinage Act of 1873, which also ended the free coining of silver. The coin is named for its designer, United States Mint Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan. The obverse depicts a profile portrait representing Liberty, while the reverse depicts an eagle with wings outstretched.
The Minting of Morgans started up again in 1921. Not since 1904 had these coins been minted. Due to the Pittman Act, passed in 1918, many of the 1921 Morgans are actually older Morgans and peace dollars melted down and re-coined.

No I don't mind you asking me at all. My dad has given me all of his coins and I'm not a coin collector so I decided to put on here to make some credits, I haven't tried to stick a magnet on it but I'm 100% sure that it's real.:)

This is a nice looking coin. How did you come by having it, if you don't mind me asking. Does a magnet stick to it at all? Unfortunately I got taken by a Listian on a Morgan that was not real. It was slightly larger and a magnet stuck to it.
