I'm also in love with words. I don't know if you'd call that an addiction or not. I love writing {typing too}, reading, and have this weird sort of OCD type of thing... when someone uses the wrong grammar, I want to correct it. Not to sound mean, but because it bugs me when it isn't used correctly. At least the simple stuff such as there, they're, their, etc. And it really drives me nuts when I'm reading a book and realize they made a mistake in there! That is the ONLY time I want to write in a book. I don't believe in messing with books that way, I think I was the only person in highschool & such who didn't hi-lite stuff, if it was something important, I wrote it in a notebook!! :)
I'm fascinated with oxymorons too {think that could have something to do with the poet in me}.
And I was doomed from birth to be a music lover. Music of all kinds. I love it for the lyrics sometimes, sometimes for the actual music itself {rhythm & harmony, emotions created through guitar strings}.

You could probably sit in the water =D Actually they say a good spot to pan is right next to a rock. So you could probably sit on the rock.

I am addicted to Listia. I don't think I have any others, besides being addicted to the internet. There's really nothing else I couldn't live without. Except maybe my tweezers! Gotta have those so I don't grow a 'stache LMBO!! And to keep my eyebrows in check =D Hairy is NOT an option!!!!!

We should so have a BOOK Swap!! Tweety, that's an idea for a new one. Let's try that! I love having "new" reading material! I'm sure a lot of the other swappers do too! We could send books we already have but don't need anymore to a swapper... We could so set something up to go with that for the readers here! :)

We plan on going camping this weekend! haha yes!! Our friend's dad owns some gold claim property on the Illinois River and we will be camping and panning! SOOOOO much fun! I have panned once before in the GA mountains (I forget what river it was) It was alot of work getting there (hiking) but once we were there it was so relaxing and wonderful....and there's still gold in them thar hills. We found some flower gold right in the water! I've read somewhere that the only reason the gold rush stopped was because the men went to fight in the civil war, so of course the wagon trains stopped. So anyways...I am excited again! lol And I'm not listing anything new this week because I don't want to stress myself out again like I did last week when I had gloves to make and other stuff to ship!

Moonkill, that's funny! It reminds me of that saying, joke, or whatever it was that talked about a sentence on a blackboard and the people were asked to put punctuation in. It said "Woman without her man is nothing" and the results:
The men wrote: "Woman, without her man, is nothing."
The women wrote: "Woman: Without her, man is nothing."
Also, as far as books go, I love the written word, the actual book itself. Especially a brand new one, off the presses, without anyone's influence {fingers all over it, etc}, the smell of freshly printed books is wonderful. However, at the same time, I feel bad for contributing to the death of trees. And like the idea of convenience {such as you can get with Kindles & the like}.

Tweety, it wasn't really the myspace I liked, it was more of the messing with the html to get different results. LOL

I embrace the dork within!! :)

Pointless, I'm strange when it comes to that. I don't mind that sort of thing in text. In conversations on a computer {chat, email, and such} I don't care for it. However, with texts I kind of understand. For one, if I typed everything out on a phone, it would take forever because I don't have a qwerty keyboard, and for two, sometimes you would get 4 texts whereas I could shorten it to a few less with the substitutions. And text messages cost people if they don't have unlimited text messaging from their provider. So that's ok, and doesn't seem to bother me, I even do it myself. But when I sign on to facebook or here, and see people type stuff like "I fill sick 2day" or "your my bff" or something similar, it kind of bugs me. I'm an odd person. LOL

I am addicted to Sketcher shoes. I absolutely love the way they fit my foot. I can get so bad that I want the same styles just in different colors. Drives my hubby crazy, lol.

I also love purses. Well bags in general. I dont think I use a bag for more than a few months at a time. Then I recycle them or get a new one. Everything I have and do are in tote bags of all kinds. My crochet is in a Minnie mouse bag, my homeschooling stuff is in a large yellow bag, etc. The funny thing is I do not have a green M&M bag, or a tweety bag...go figure.
And last but not least are bins. We have bins holding everything. My listia stuff is in bins, my kids downstairs toys are in bins, our blankets are in bins, my kitchen stuff is getting put in smaller containers/bins this week, school supplies are in bins, lol.

Just wondering if any of you have something like that that you are addicted to too. :)

I'm the type of person who goes through phases with things.
Such as, when I first discovered myspace & those html codes to do stuff to your profile, I'd sit and mess with that stuff for forever! Adjusting the html to create different aspects, etc. I still like the idea of html and stuff, but don't care for myspace too much. At one time, I was addicted though {more like obsessed}.
My current gum addiction is Orbitz White Bubble Mint flavor. The only addiction that has stayed with me constantly is my Dew addiction!! Bad, I know. I'm trying to cut back at least.

The mail just arrived and my son received 3 envelopes in the mail. He was so excited. I really want to thank his swapper(s). His favorite is the one that came in the orange envelope. Orange is his favorite color and he loves the special coupon inside. He also loves his new smile stickers. He put up his cards on the wall in his room. He also received an envelope with a number of pogs. Now he is researching on the internet how to play with pogs. he has seen them before, but wants to know how to play with them now. :)

Tweety, as far as shoes go, I'm strange. I absolutely hate the feel of new shoes. So much so that when mine fall apart and I absolutely have to buy a new pair, I have my mom wear them around for awhile first!! LOL I did have one pair that was pretty awesome. Back when me and my ex were first together, his aunt gave me a pair of hers that were in pretty good shape. They were air walks {skater shoes}. I wore those things for 5 years before they started to fall apart. And I'm not sure how long she had them before I got them!! I want to get another pair of those, but I'd have to go to the mall which is in a city an hour and a half's drive from my house to get them. They don't carry them in the stores around here!

@MamaLuv-I had a pair of air walks once.just to push the envelope of the dresscode where I was working. They do last a long time. But I am a boot person and don't like to wear anytype of sneaker, sandals, 'dress' shoes, etc.

As far as addictions go, I'll have to say physical things. I like my books in hard copy. I don't download music. I'm a collector at heart (but not an out f control hoarder-everything is orderly and I only have things I enjoy or use).

Finally MamaLuv reminded me of this:

Let's eat grandma!
Let's eat, grandma!
Grammer: It saves lives.

@tweety, yes i got back on but it took about 45 minutes. I know one of my facebook friends is out to get people who post spam, but he hasn't blocked me yet. I'm not sure if he considers Listia a spam or not, but this happened right after I shared a post for the 10 credits.

@mamaluv, I'm with you on the misuse of grammer. I go nuts every time I see someone use "your" for "you're" and use the wrong form of too and to which is about 90% of people. I also don't like it when I get a message on the internet like someone is trying to save time on the phone like ur, me2, ic, etc.
