I'm assuming this will be reset to factory settings before being shipped? Also, to your knowledge can this be used as an extra hard drive for an Xbox one? Thanks.

It's already been factory reset and formatted so the drive is ready to go. As for the Xbox One I could not tell you. I tried to use it on my PS3 a and it would not work. There is a way that you can use the drive on a game system but you would have to do research on it.
