Fake pokemon games happen. However most of them do actually work and play the game it is supposed to. If you can show that it does in fact play you will get a good amount of credits for it. (Just a thought) I know not everyone has a system to show they work in. Good luck on your auction!

it is a fake, there is no yellow square in the top left hand corner of the back of the cartridge. Fake games are all different and for the most part, you can't play the entire game. The majority of fake games let you play until the first badge and then deletes your save data and freezes. but there's some fakes that don't even let you leave the first town.

Look inside where the pins are. If you see NINTENDO written on the motherboard, then its a real game.
