Questions & Comments
The unicorn comes from a collection of 12 figures. Its The Golden Unicorn collection by David Cornell and was originally sold through the Franklin Mint in 1991. The unicorn you have listed is named the Bronze Unicorn. I own the collection :)
I looked it up..goodness it's a beautiful collection! You are lucky to have them all. Thanks for the info. I got out my magnifying glass and really looked it over. On the inside of the leg..very high up, I think I can make out the initials "FM". Maybe that stands for Franklin Mint?
Yes, I am still auctioning it. Unless I found a flaw that affected the auction in a negative way, I would never stop an auction or have it cancelled. A deals a deal.
I new it was copper or bronze. If you are still auctioning it and willing to ship it could you let me know what it would cost to ship to Laval qc Canada. THANKS.
These are gorgeous. I have a couple lady friends and one collects rabbits the other is into horses and they would love these. I'm watching closely and have fanned you too. You said the unicorn was cast in the ''Lost Wax'' process, have you any idea what that is?
If you google " lost wax process" you will find lots of info about it. Wickapedia has a good article. It's pretty interesting. Lots of info..more than I could tell you.
