IT IS DONE IN A VERY UNIQUE NEEDLEPOINT STITCH CALLED " KNOT" ...
.It is challenging to perfect and very time consuming...
The work is so clean ,that the down side looks almost as
the upper one.( see the last 3 pictures)

You can use them on any flat surface furniture in your family room or cottage ...
