Up for sale here is a great piece of exonumia history - a token once used on several New York City bridges beginning in 1982. New York City has since discontinued the use of this token, transitioning to the EasyPass in use today.
This token was used to cross three different bridges within New York CIty (as listed on one side):
- "Marine" (Marine Parkway–Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge) - connects Brooklyn and the Rockaways in Queens
- "Henry Hudson" (Henry Hudson Bridge) - connects the Bronx and Manhattan
- "Cross Bay" (Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge) - connects Broad Channel to the Rockaways
