I won this phone on here, hooked it up to iTunes to restore/update it, only to find out that the find my iPhone activation/iCloud lock is on, so this iPhone IS ICLOUD LOCKED!!!
The IMEI number states that it is an unlocked (carrier) AT&T iPhone 4S 16GB, but that it is still attached to the original 1st owners iCloud account.
Therefore IT CAN NOT BE ACTIVATED FOR CELL SERVICE!!!!!!
That is everything I know about this phone, and I do not know the previous owners info so please do not ask!
This phone is being sold as is for parts only!!!
If you are looking for a phone that you can use like normal, than this auction is not for you!

Okay, first of all, if you had read the entire description, I clearly state that the phone is activation locked through the previous owners find my iPhone account which is attached to their iCloud account. Second of all, I have done the research, even on YouTube, and the most anyone, including people like me who have a professional, formal education in A+ & C++ certification, building/repairing pc's/laptops, and network infrastructure, will ever be able to do on this phone besides use it for parts, is a minor bypass that does not provide access to the home screen, FaceTime, or contacts, which is where one would need to get to in order to hopefully find out how to contact the previous owner to get them to de-authorize this phone from their find my iPhone account, which is different than having a simple iCloud account. Since iOS 8.0 and above, if the iPhone's previous owner has activated the find my iPhone app, either in iTunes on their computer, or on the iPhone itself, the activation lock automatically gets turned on, and in order for someone else to activate the phone, they need to know the previous owners apple I.d. (iCloud email) and password, then they have to login with that info in order to manually de-authorize the iPhone and thus turn off the find my iPhone activation lock. Without doing this, the iPhone will never be able to be activated on the new owners cell plan. That is until the good folks at Douce come up with full work around for iOS 8+ :-)

Actually that guy is making a full of himself 200k credits is exactly what it sells for on ebay. Give it take a few thousand credits. Not a lot... Comes out to just about the same it would sell for. And since iphone 4's are dropping in price it's better to sell on here. He made the right move and right price and I'm gonna bid on this lol. No but actually if you know how to work it. You can do stuff. But it's most likely not gonna do crap lol. If you didn't mind not using iphone and going through such a crapload of complications you could use this phone again but it's beyond difficult. But not never usable again.

No I have not opened it as Apple products are not the easiest to open. No it doesn't appear to have been opened by anything I can see. And honestly I would prefer not to say, but I can tell you that the current bid doesn't even come close to what I paid for it

It is as high as it because I am trying to recoupe the cost for it and for free priority mail shipping. It is up to you to bid or not and the parts alone make it worth it' I know because I researched it prior to listing. And after Listia takes their cut, I will basically break even.

You say no home screen, so must be no wifi and no screens that do anything... I am one that don't need to have a phone activated. I just slap a free program on mine and use my wifi..:)
So anything that is Icloud locked means no home screen or any of them type of screens for anything Icloud locked..I have seen some listed that said wifi could be used...that is not true i take it?
I think if you have all them certifications that if it could be workable you would have done it. Wish ya woulda been able to get into it lol its in such nice condition!! I am shocked its not gone already.

Yeah I was able to jail break it enough to get into the wifi settings and run a program similar to running a virtual windows environment on a Apple Mac, but othe them connecting to that program and using wifi through the setup environment, it can't be used.

They have a little chip that goes into the sim card slot with your sim card and it will bypass the activation not only that it will allow you to use ANY carrier
