No no imputs... however i did check online for area to area and there are alot of places online that provide the frequent frequencies.

They only require a license to speak on it . If you are just listening it's not illegal . I have a similar radio , same brand , better model , and it's an amazing radio. I use it as a police scanner. You can pick up most police , fire , ems channels in most states with this radio.

You can even attach a portable mic/speaker. So you can have the radio on your belt , and use a wired mic , same as how the police use their mics on their shoulder. This is a great radio.

As an avid Ham radio operator you are required to have a license to use this radio. CB radio there is no license the is governed by the FCC not a state by state Law this is federal and there are hefty fines for using these radios Sorry transmiting on this without a license and as long as you transmit you can b found do your self a favor and do some research before getting into any trouble here is a link to Part 97 of the FCC rules that state what is required to use a ham radio http://www.arrl.org/part-97-text

They are correct, that's a dual band. You will need a license to talk on it. However listening is legal. -KG5FSO

hey i am a total nuub at the ham radio stuff so i hope this dont sound too dumb, but it says that this is a ham radio on the title, and then it says it is a two way radio in one of the updates. are a two way radio and a ham radio one in the same? sorry if that sounds like a nuub question, but i am a total nuub...lol. thanks for any clarification for a new guy.

Tech. jargon of the sell. Is a two-way ham. Supposed but does talk with other types radio. I guess the jargon of two-way is just called mike or keying down.

Two-way is both radio to radio or using with other radios. Can I guess get a two way connection on two-ways like some families use. It would be like a CB except the use refer to Air/Mobile. Accepts and talks frequencies mostly.

Go to Buy Credits and look at what 5 or 10 will buy you as far as credits That will give you an idea as to what a credit is worth

Right, but by most the credits are used from listings. Not bought credits but once. Seems that listia only gives alot of credits at the higher level.
I've sold gift cards so I'm not trying to lead you astray on price. The most I have seen is $1 for 7,700 credits. Minus what Listias fee is.

Many more people shuold experience this hobby even little kids in my area a 7 year old took the test and passed so it really is not that hard to get licensed again i am very sorry if i came across as being brash

Never even used ham. A person suggested one. But it does have alot of program buttons. I guess with or without a program cable or disk that a person can just get the freq. and input them.

An Active Amateur Radio license is required to use this radio ... There are stiff fines in both the US and Canada if you operate one of these without qualification ... this is not a CB radio ... this bit of info is missing from description and chat about this item ... Thanks .. VA3MJW

In the U.S there is no License requirement. You are for fact not allowed to use Public Fire or Police Bands. This is easily checked into and allowed.
