Yes you need a subscription unless you are an Amazon Prime member then you can stream movies, games and music for Free otherwise you can opt to stream from Pandora, Netflix etc.., You just plug it into your TV

Im trying to decide if i wanna get one of these for my other TV or another roku stick,
I bought a RCA smart TV with a p reinstalled roku stick and its awesome. But i think i might have to try this one on my other Tv..

I really like the voice app on the remote about this.. Ive been saving my points for a while looking for something really worth sinking a few hundred thousand into. This may just be it!!

U can actually if u knw what your doing jailbreak these and get almost everything,channels etc for free.. My buddy does it.
