This looks more like a Japanese type Iris. Are you POSITIVE this is a lily of some type? Would be helpful to see what type of root it has. If it is a rhizome it is an Iris. Thanks, more info needed so I can google it.

Hope this helps I just found out this is a Trimezia says it is a genus of flowering plants in the family Irdacean
Native to the warmer parts of Southern Mexico, Central America, South America, Florida, and West Indies.
