I had one of these in the early 1960's, but she had to be returned to the store because they were recalled due to the fire hazard.

I think. Back in the olden days if you couldn't afford to buy a doll they would make them with left over fabric and fill it with saw dust to form the body. They are quite heavy!! She is in really good shape. We are a family of doll enthusiast :)). I just have way way too many. The fabric has held up good. No tears of holes. Thanks so much for watching!!

No hair. It looks like a glue residue. I was afraid to try to clean it off. But it looks like it will rub off. I will measure her when I get home. Guessing around 20 inches long

My grandma passed away in 1978. I inherited her then. Other than that I don't know how long she had it. She kept all her dolls in excellent condition. Thanks so much for watching

My great grand mother gave me one just like her with blond hair, witch was horse hair. I was told at the time that she made it. Maybe it was a kit ? I am 57. Lol

I had a doll like this given to me when I was in the 3rd grade by a friend of mines mother, my friend had 2 of them. They had come from Germany or England, the girls mother was from England, but it looked almost identical to this one only mine had blond hair I think made out of yarn. I don't know what ever happened to her. I wasn't allowed to play with her, she hanged on my wall in my bedroom. This is a wonderful doll.
