No, it is sterling silver with a gold overlay. I get all my rings at the same place and if you look back at the comments on my rings, I get rave reviews. I do not like fake metal so I would not sell it to someone else either. The rings that I have are from where I bought this and I wear them to wash dishes and go swimming at my gym and they look as good as when I bought them. Hope that helps. Thanks
