Are the "sawing teeth" on the back sharp and usable or just there, as decoration? Thanks, already a fan now watching.

Out of the box the teeth aren't sharp. If you sharpen it, in a specific angle, the teeth would be capable of cutting wood and things related to it. The " Gut Hook" is very sharp in the center. I believe it's more of a seatbelt cutter than a gut hook, The description on the knife states it's a gut hook though. I hope this answers your questions, if not let me know.
