■they have changed the way they label the generations of kindles, according to the year they came out. please be sure to compare all the cut out notches to your device before bidding. all the notches are on the short sides, top and bottom, there are no notches at all on the long sides of this case. i think this is now labeled as a 3rd gen. but was originally called a 2nd gen. i bought it as a 2nd gen. just be sure all your cut outs are on the short sides of your device, please compare to the pictures before bidding ■

if you put this case on a kindle i'm pretty sure it really honestly will be kid-proof!!!!
