Gorgeous Antique Gibson (England) teapot with beautiful gold on green with pink old rose tone flowers, it's quite a good sized teapot! Not a tiny one! Looks to be 24kt gold decoration , but I'm not 100% sure.Founded in England in 1875 at Burslem,Stoke-on-Trent. Here's a link to the history of the co,from the Stoke-on-Trent Museum.This area was quite famous for it's teapots! http://www.stokemuseums.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/sm-info_gibson-sons.pdf .The company was hugely successful and peaked about 1955 then went into decline(too many orders and not enough skilled potters, to guarantee shipments would be fulfilled.But the Gibson teapots are highly collected now! The Company exhibited and won awards for many of their 75 yrs in business.

This piece has normal wear for it's age one chip on the rim,I'm not sure if the top is original but I think it is because it fits, there is some wear on the gold on the handle but not very noticeable.It is sold "AS IS" as are all of my auctions (new .used or antique) because I am not a store , I cannot replace this it's the only one I have.(And I've never seen another the same!).Sorry I cannot do free shipping on this It's quite good sized as I say .I will probably send it ground for this reason .So it may take a bit longer to send.But I will insure it and have tracking on it.
