Just a side note, the artist was a friend I made when I was in 5th grade. He was here from Peking (Beijing) as a student. His part time job was running the elevators in a NY hotel.(for you young people out there, elevators did not run themselves in the 50's!) As a friend we invited him to our home and I experienced my first Chinese dinner!! We found out he flew with the Flying Tigers during WWll as a translator. He would play his cello to me over the phone later, as we lived in Maryland and he in New York, He was also a calligrapher and this is a result of the many works he did for our family.

I think about 12. I have not counted them. He intended that they be handed out to all of my family. He gave them to my mother who forgot to do this. So when cleaning out her home I found these. I offer and many family member did not want them. It did not fit with their décor!!! I have other painting of his too. One can only keep so much. They sold well on Ebay but I do not want to deal with Ebay anymore.
