This is probably a stupid question. This is my first time to bid on something. Every time I put a price to bid it keeps saying, Sorry you are outbid, no matter how much I put. Am I doing something wrong??

No, you are doing it correctly. What is happening is that there is someone who has placed a higher bid then you. Eg.the bid now in 9211, you place a bid of say 10211. It will reject that bid if someone else had placed a bid of 20,000. That bid does not show up on the site though. You have to keep bidding until that 20,000 mark has been reached then it will show you are the high bidder. People usually place bids higher then the site calls for in case they are not around to make the bids or for other reasons. I hope this helped and I did not ramble on too much
