Depending on how knowledgeable you are, and how you set it up, this extender CAN provide up to an extra 40 or 80 feet extension in one direction or another.

My maths: 6,500 = 80.6 x 80.6.
Since WiFi is radio, and radio waves propagate in a circle (mostly) that's an 80.6' circle.
The radius of an 80.6' circle is 40.3' (center to edge).

When used to receive and repeat a WiFi signal, either the ranges (circles) of the wifi router and extender/repeater must overlap so that each is within the other's range, or you must use a physical Ethernet cable to connect the two, allowing the two ranges simply touch, or even to not overlap at all, if you want.
