Description

The listing, 50+ PINK & VIOLET MORNING GLORY SEEDS has ended.

The seeds came from my gramma in Wiconsin years ago & I grow them every year. I think the pictures tell it all. The are easy to grow & are beautiful in the morning. Happy bidding :-) If you live south It's not to late to plant or plan for next year ! If this auction goes over 2000 credits I will add 100 marigold seeds.

Are these perennial, ie, edible roots?

They will reseed if left in the fall for the seed pods to dry & naturally fall off. I pull down my vines in the fall & store them in the basement until spring then I replant where I want them to be. Hope this answers your question. I have never heard of someone eating the roots ? :-)

Native American Sweet Potatoes are perennial Morning Glories. White with a purple/lavender center. The roots are sweet up to 2 feet long, and, get progressively more bitter as the plant ages. They have been known to exceed 8 feet in length, 3-4' in Diameter, and, weighed over 1/2 a ton. Talk about BIG!

WoW I did not know that. Very interesting. My seeds do not do that, just pretty flowers. :-)
