This iPhone first has an activation lock. I do not know anything about it other than it powers on and connects to wifi. It has a cracked screen.

If it was stolen it would have been blacklisted on the websites. It was most likely an owner turn in at one of those cubicles and they didn't provide the password.

There'd be problems. You can activate it, and get around the password but I don't think you could use your Apple ID.

you can use itools and ifunbox to find out all the information concerning the phone

You can do a total reset back to factory by connecting the phone to a computer and doing it through iTunes. That will get rid of the lock.

I don't know. It's activation locked. But at the same time it's activation ready. I believe it was a turn in/ trade in to a store and most likely they forgot to give their password when resetting the phone and someone tried entering it wrong too many times thus locking out the phone. That would be my best guess.

Activation locked means that the previous user did not delete their email & password off of the phone prior to selling it or turning it in.
