First of all a great note! Never seen one on Listia before so congrats on what ever you get for it, :) That being said This note is in very very bad condition it is ripped into 2 parts, then on the left side it has a serial # of A 11S51791 A ,with the rip in between the A11 and the S51791A. Now on the right side of the note the serial # is very clear and is A11651791A, something is wrong with this note, you can clearly see that it is ripped in 2 and does not line right up, but you are getting some great bids on it and I wish you the very best of luck just remember that the buyer is going to look very close at this note and if it is wrong they will ask for a refund! Good luck my friend :)

Why is there two different numbers on the bill the right has a 6 and the left side has a 9 so is that the same bill or two different haves of a gold certificate?

I just looked at it. Your wrong . It's not like you said. It's all there. It's not a different twenty. It's a 6 and not a nine. It's all there. It's no separate pieces.

uncirculated are worth at least $500 and up. circulated are much less. 1928 gold notes are the most common of all, according to the internet. a wonderful note for a collector and a good investment for a younger person perhaps! best of luck!!!

It does look that the numbers don't match. It looks like 1 side starts with A1195, and the other side says A1165. Maybe it's just all the wrinkles in it. I'm not sure.

I agree it does look like that but it's not the way people r saying. It's all the same note it is not different. I'm telling you because I'm looking at the banknote right now.
