Works great.

Does have some physical scuffs and scrapes on phone as well as a few light scratches on screen (please see pictures).

The screen has one single crack that runs from left side of screen to right side, but it's not shattered and won't catch your finger. You can't even tell it's there unless the light hits the screen a certain way. I don't even know how it happened, I just noticed it one day (please see pictures).

This phone has three cameras, two front-facing and one selfie camera. And yes, this phone has an actual "selfie" function in camera mode. You can also take a picture that shows you and what you're looking at. It's pretty cool.

The larger front camera has a crack in the glass, but it does not go over the camera lens. This phone takes perfect pictures. This crack has absolutely no effect on camera function or pictures. I took pictures of this phone taking pictures and I took a picture of the resulting picture to show this. This HTC One M8 takes better pictures than the HTC I upgraded to.

No to a removable battery.
Yes to an SD card. It has a little slot that pops out on the top right side. The SIM card goes on the left.

I use Straight Talk now so if I got it I would be putting it on Straight Talk and Straight Talk says bring your own phone so I would think you could switch it to Straight talk. but haven't checked with them.

I called Verizon and they said yes you can, but not all features may work because it will still be running on Verizon LTE network. So like if ATT had service in one area and Verizon didn't, you wouldn't have service even though you are an ATT customer. You'll be paying ATT but bouncing off Verizon's towers/satellites.

It's unlocked as in no passcodes that you have to break and as in it's not a contract phone that's locked because the bill wasn't paid. It was mine, I upgraded, now I have no use for it. These days I'm pretty sure you can switch almost any phone to any carrier. Another watcher/bidder commented that this phone could be used on a Straight Talk network. I'm not familiar with other carriers, I've been on a Verizon network since I first got a cell phone.

6.0 Marshmallow. It was last updated in March 2016, I tried to check for updates but it says I need to be connected to an LTE network before it could check.

The last time it was updated was March 12th, 2016 and it is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. I tried to check for a system update but it says I can't until I'm connected to a 4G LTE network.

It was on a Verizon contract plan until I upgraded it. I don't know if you have to use it specifically with a Verizon network or if you can use it with Sprint, T-Mobile, etc. I'm not that tech savvy, so I'm not sure. I am 100% positive you can use this with Verizon service though.
