Gorgeous! I want to go Estate shopping with you, lol!!
Come to Indiana and you can :D.... I just hope where I am moving too still has many around.. you have to hit up all the sales, not just estates but also charity auctions, and check with all the auctioneers in your area as well as storage places. Because people that do not pay their storage fee;s monthly, they have auctions on all their stuff. There is so many ways to find auctions.
yes, I was shocked when I seen it, and I took it to a jeweler because I did not know what the stone was it looked white, and he said it is in great condition and is vintage, he said its an opal and polished up the stone a bit then I could see some color. He said do not get opal wet, so this cant be but in a ring bath.
Just beautiful! My great grandmother had rings in that style but the white settings around the little diamonds were all platinum not white gold. If you haven't gotten it checked at a jewelers, now may be the time. It may be a better investment to keep it if its platinum. Tho I'd LOVE to win the ring! I just don't want to see a good family investment slip through your fingers.
they only checked the yellow gold, once bids are started I can not cancel it. Ill leave to the winner to see if the white holding the stone is platinum. I remember my grams telling me about platinum being used to hold stones also many years ago. I forgot about that till you mentioned it, thanks.
The CI is the jeweler's mark. (( The Designer Is Clyde Duneier )) ..All gold jewelry is stamped with the karat (10k, 14k, etc) and also by law must bear the mark of the jeweler so they can be held accountable if the gold is fake....lil fyi.... :)
I have an opal ring that I found 20+ years ago which looks almost just like your and over the years I too have wore it so much until it has the same bend to fit my hand. This a beauty!
This is stunning & just my size!! All of my gold rings have a bend here or there including the 10kt..It is inevitable when ring is worn a lot..Regardless, this is a rare beauty & watching/bidding :)
Thank you very much, I do like to point out any flaws though. My rings also have bends in them I only wear my family ring...but trust me, I have worn it to death already. This is a beauty for sure :)
The flash made the rings stone look solid white, so it is just taken with flash off near a light-bulb, so the metal may appear white, it is not, the metal is yellow gold but the part holding the diamond is white gold...maybe to help the diamond chip to appear bigger, because it is tiny. This is a vintage piece and it was not easy getting the pics on it, most opals are hard to get pics,
