We have two of these, this one was in my husbands car, and we mostly use my car and the one in my car. My dog loves it and uses mine all the time. Figured we don't need the other one if she does not use it that much, let someone else enjoy it. Yes, it would work in a Nissan Altima. Hope this clarifies..... Have a great day and keep warm :)

This is a great one. Wishing I had credits as i use in cars but more with my power wheelchair so my small service dog has a safer more comfy ride than my lap, and I have less pain. Great item. F,W,,,in case I can build up credits
