Little Caylee is safe & warm in the arms of God now..I've heard this is a great book & I hope it brings awareness to people that this is the type of thing we really need justice for & if they see a child in distress make an anonymous call to authorities..It might save a life

Unfortunately, the truth is that when people do report problems, particularly with natural parents, the courts and system are set up to protect the parent child relationship, and they do everything possible to keep kids with them. Plus, social service organizations are so under staffed, under budgeted and over worked, so plenty slips through the cracks. I think Caylee's grandparents were trying desperately to keep her safe, and couldn't control the ridiculously self-centered lifestyle their daughter held.

I read something recently that said as of last year, there were 2.7 million grandparents raising their grandkids. In some cases, the grandparents may have done a poor job with their own kids, so they never "grew up" enough to be parents themselves, but more often, I think there are mental health or substance abuse issues involved. I never once believed that Casey's father had molested her, but from the way the story was told, I think she showed signs of mental issues in adolescence and they maybe could or should have gotten her help then (before she became a mother) -- But then we all know that sometimes, no matter what you do, your kids do whatever they want, period. :(
Anyway lol - thanks for watching, and good luck if you decide to bid!
