Description

The listing, lot of 22 vintage/antique spoon fork rings all sizes has ended.

I got this lot from someone who makes and sells at craft sales. All sizes. You can size them and also saw and file the edges to make them smaller or finish them differently. I did not make these but I have made hundreds of them. These are silver plate. They are a popular folk art in Cuba. Re-sell these keep or gift them to friends.

If they are plated and not solid silver won't filing the edges or what ever make that part not as pretty as the ring was before that was done?

they were not rings. they were spoons and forks. you can file them and then use sand paper to get whatever finish you want. i have made hundreds. i use sterling because i am able to heat it and it is easier to work with. the inside of the metal looks the same as the outside if that is what you are asking.

when i make them i start with sandpaper then go to steel wool then something like a scotch brite pad then hit them with the buffer first compound i use is to get the scratches out and then finish with the rouge. i treat the plated exactly like i do silver and gold. i just do not use the torch.
