The listing, ANTIQUE HINGED SCHRAFFT'S 1 POUND CANDY TIN has ended.

This is an antique candy tin my Grandmother had back in the early 1900's. On the front was "SCHRAFFT'S CHOCOLATES NEW YORK BOSTON". And "ONE POUND NET" at the bottom. It is faded to the point of just shadows.

This tin is so unique and a piece of yesteryear with the needlepoint motif. Schraffts, the company founded in 1861 as a candy company and later it expanded to included a chain of restaurants in New York.

Today there is a famous landmark neon "Schrafft" sign hanging in Boston.

It measures 7 3/4" long, 4 1/2" wide, and 2 1/4" high.

It shows it's age with discoloration and scratches but the lid hinge is in good condition and would still make a great piece for storage or display.
