I found it's twin on inet circa 1950s not many still on card! Off-card going for high 20s...to 30s. On card I saw one for $73. (Dont know if it sold) hope it helps! You can find ammo on Amazon.

What is it made of? Plastic or metal?

It doesn't state on the card. It does state bright-plated. The front is sealed in plastic. Judging from the back where the cylinder and handle is exposed, it is metal with plastic handgrips. Thanks for your interest and asking I appreciate it very much!! :)

No, I'm sorry, but I couldn't find a date on it anywhere. I tried to look it up on the internet, but so far haven't been able to find another one that looks like it. It is a Gabriel bright-plated Cowpoke Old West Smoker Hubley Division Gabriel Industries Inc. Lancaster, Pa. 17602 MCMLXXVII Gabriel No. 28215. That is all that is printed on the card. The copyright date on the front of the package of your cap gun is 1977 in roman numerals.
