In 4 years I have seen many outrageous (Meaning GOOD) auction but this takes the cake and the fact that you are an avid metal detectorist - treasure Hunter makes it even more of an adventure browsing your items! I have been detecting since 1984 started w a Teknetics and now use an old Bounty Hunter. Live in NYC and detect along the Bronx River Parkway alot, George Washington camped in White Plains (ie: The Battle of White Plains) near the parkway and the relica are good but too good to auction off YET lol! God bless you friend you are a good guy as well as "The" perfect Listian, friendly and knowledgeable, be well!

Metal detecting finds is an art form in itself. Some luck involved but a lot of skill and research in knowing where to look. There was a show on tv about guys going to people's properties digging for treasure using pretty metal detectors and other equipment. Every dig was an andrenaline rush especially when something was detected! Exciting. I guess it's element of mystery. I also like watching American pickers. There's so much history in finding old artifacts, coins, or anything old. We try to think of the story behind the finds and who that item may of belonged to. My hobby since I was a teen, has been wheeling and dealing, buying, selling and trading. Never for a living but as a paid hobby per say. I see you have a passion for what you do, and sense your enthusiasm. That's awesome. This auction is the best collector auction I have seen on here. Very thankful and appreciative for you listing it for all members to bid on. Rare opportunity. I'm here till the end. This auction will be very memorable. Hope it breaks Listia records for watchers and bids. I will be saving my credits for this one. Hope I have my people bid against me, that makes it very fun. To all bidders and watchers, if you don't bid on this auction, you won't many like it ever again!!! Good luck

yes, that show is American diggers-I love that show! and American pickers is awesome too.i have 2 metal detectors-a garrett and a whites. the hardest part about metal detecting is actually not the digging-the hardest part is getting permission to dig on someones property. the older houses built late 1800's, early 1900's, is where the action is at-ive found the coolest finds at old houses that are now abandoned, but once were thriving. I have passion for metal detecting, but I know you love this stuff just as much as I do, and it would be an honor for me to see you to win this-its anybodys game-but you have the appreciation for this stuff, most of the success of this auction is thanks in large part to you personally, so, I'm as happy as I can be right now. I want to thank you & all your friends that bid, and I wanna thank kaptain kohlt for his bids, & everyone watching this. in appreciation, I am adding a standing liberty .999 silver round, and also the outer casing to that old pocket watch that I found-I'm not sure if its silver, but it is definitely very old. I'm adding more pictures soon of these 2 additions and all of the metal detecting finds-the level of interest in these finds is blowing my mind! so cool. I haven't had this much fun listing an auction-ever.
